Full Head Gasket Sets include all gaskets requested to rebuild a complete engine. They are mainly required when an engine needs a complete repair or rebuilt. These full sets are the most complete sets and include both the gaskets to repair the upper side of the engine and the ones requested to repair the bottom side.
This upper gasket set contains all the gaskets needed if you are replacing your cylinder head. Blown head gaskets are a serious issue that can leave you stranded on the side of the road.
Gasket kits for overhaul and repair, which include all the required seals and gaskets to reassemble a complete engine cylinder head or block. The kits include all the major component mounting gaskets and seals such as turbocharger, water and fuel pump, together with block and cylinder head gaskets.
Three main classifications of gasket materials are used for a wide range of different applications: these are metallic, semi-metallic and non-metallic.
A gasket stores energy, like a spring, and seals two mating surfaces that fail to perfectly meet. Wikipedia: “Fills the space between two objects, generally to prevent leakage between the two objects while under compression.
The most common types of gaskets are: Gaskets used in piping (flange gaskets) Gaskets used in vehicles (cars, boats, planes, trains etc.) Gaskets with certain material properties (cork, rubber paper etc.) Gaskets used for a particular function (for pressure, temperature or chemical resistance)
Definition of a Gasket

A gasket, also known as an O-ring or washer, seals the gap between two surfaces. These items are usually made of rubber and are available in different sizes and shapes depending on their purpose.

Parts can be manufactured from the following rubbers; natural, neoprene, nitrile, EPDM, silicone, viton, styrene butadiene, butadiene acreionitrile, ethylene propylene, butyl and hypalon.
Gaskets are manufactured using many different materials. Viton, Neoprene, Nitrile, Pure Gum Rubber, EPDM Butyl, and SBR are just a sampling of the most common rubber or elastomeric materials commonly used to manufacture gaskets.
PTFE gaskets are made of synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene consisting completely of carbon and fluorine. It is innately hydrophobic (repelling water and water-containing substances) and has one of the lowest coefficients of friction against any solid.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene that has numerous applications. It is also known by the common trade name TEFLON™, trademark owned by The Chemours Company FC. PTFE can be modified for use as a gasketing material with strong chemical resistance properties.
The top end gasket kits include all the gaskets for the upgrading of the engine thermal parts, with compatibility tables available to select the right version for your engine.
Sponge Gaskets are suitable for oil and gas at a low pressure. You can find sponge gaskets at a temperature range of approximately -60° to + 200° C.
The top end gasket kits include all the gaskets for the upgrading of the engine thermal parts, with compatibility tables available to select the right version for your engine.
A valve cover gasket is an engine component designed to protect cylinder head hardware from the elements and prevent oil from escaping the engine. Typically, the gasket is made of plastic, rubber or cork to create a tight seal between the engine cover and engine, acting as a two-way barrier.
