If I Never Touched a Rose
This poem was written by our founder, June Strandberg, about one of her first students.
Things would have been different.
When I look back and see,
If I never touched a rose
Life would not be the same for me.
I am what I wanted to be
And I did what I feel, that's for sure!
Life can deal its measure of sadness.
But that rose never fails to cure.
As years go by and it's nearing the end.
It was all valuable time that I could spend.
The confidence, my talent, I've been able to share.
If it was only a few women, that would have been there.
And from my hear I wanted to show.
Just how much I really cared, they needed to know.
And my memory will stay with me for a handful of those
That happened to be fortunate to touch that Rose.
